In the Spirit of Caterham Christmas Poetry Project

This year, a local school in Caterham had a festive project on their hands, to get creative and share their festive poems with a chance to feature within Church Walk’s ‘In the Spirit of Caterham Christmas’ festive e-book and win prizes.

There was lots of fantastic poetry submitted, with the top 10 poems featuring in an exclusive ‘In the Spirit of Catehram Christmas’ poetry e-book, in partnership with local artist Rebecca Bush.

The winning poetry by Connor also forms this year’s festive poetry trail and welcomes the community to take part. Pick up a trail map at Costa, finding the missing poetry words in shop windows and posting their completed trail map in Clarks. More details on the trail can be found here. The poetry e-book was created on behalf of Church Walk in partnership with local Caterham schools and artist Rebecca Bush to showcase the creative talent in Caterham. The e-book can be downloaded by visiting Church Walk retailers and scanning the QR code within stores to reveal the poetry.

Rebecca Bush is the artist behind ‘Inspired Heart’, based in Caterham Surrey where she has lived for over 20 years. Her artwork is vibrant and often inspired by nature, the result of walking regularly in the surrounding countryside and woodland. Rebecca encourages and supports others in her community to explore their creative ability at her classes and workshops: “creativity is for all of us, it is a powerful tool for wellbeing and fantastic for our mental health, what we produce artistically is just the tip of the iceberg – the creative process is where the magic happens! Rebecca’s art features proudly within the ‘In the Spirit of Caterham Christmas’ e-book.
